Rajmachi is a popular trek place near by Mumbai and Pune. Rajmachi is also called as Udhewadi is located amidst the Shayadri mountains.Rajmachi is famous for trekkers,who love to explore new experience and love to nature. Rajmachi Fort has many caves used by trekkers for night halt. You can also trek towards Kondane Caves  during monsoon and enjoy the beautiful caves and waterfall. Rajmachi Fort has two stronghold forts, Shrivardhan and Manaranjan.It is about 15 kms from the beautiful hill station of Lonavala. The village is  also known for its forts built during 17th century by Shivaji Maharaj.

The way to reach the forts is through Kondiavde village or through Lonavla, the later is an easier but longer trek. During the rainy season, Rajmachi is covered  with lush green fields and waterfalls which make this place more beautiful. The best time to visit Rajmachi.

How to Reach Rajmachi from Mumbai
You can catch a train going towards Pune and get down at Karjat. From Shree Ram Bridge, Karjat take a shared Auto.Auto will charge arund Rs.40 to reach Kondhane village. You can start the trek from this village.

How to Reach Rajmachi from Pune
You can catch a local train to reach Lonavala. From Lonavala, there are 2 routes to reach Udhewadi (base village of Rajmachi fort).
Lonavala – Kunhe village – Della adventure Park – Udhewadi and Lonavala – Tungarli – Nandgaon – Udhewadi are the two routes.
Note: Both routes are in very bad conditions especially in the monsoon season, so it’s better to trek rather than riding. The Della adventure park route is better among the two if you want to ride.

How to Reach Rajmachi by Air/Flight
Mumbai is the nearest airport to Rajmachi, which is located at a distance of 83 km.Then you have to option to go there either by train or taxi toward Lonavala.On reaching Lonavala you can take Auto rickshaw.

How to Reach Rajmachi by train
Lonavala is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 10 km from Rajmachi Village. You can take train from Mumbai as well as from Pune to reach Lonavala.Travellers can also trek to Rajmachi from Kondiwade which is approximately 3 hours of trekking.
